The Lifetime outdoor shed is a stylish storage solution. It never needs painting and it comes with shelving and peg strips so you can find what you need, when you need it. This attractive Lifetime outdoor shed keeps your garden equipment organized and handy. Constructed from UV-protected high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic with powder-coated steel reinforcements, this Lifetime outdoor shed is built to weather the storms. It requires very low maintenance--designed with a high-impact polyethylene floor that is resistant to stains and solvents, and an exterior surface that can simply be sprayed down with a garden hose for routine cleaning. Made in the USA from US and imported parts. Covered by a 10 yr. limited warranty in US and Canada.Compatible with our 8 ft expansion kits. Not compatible with the Lifetime Snow Load or Extreme Weather Kit.

Consult local building codes before assembly. This shed must be built on a flat level foundation of wood or concrete (not included). It is designed with a slight indentation in each corner of the floor so that you can drill through the flooring to secure it to the foundation. Anchoring hardware depends on the type of foundation you have and is therefore not included in the shed kit. Not including the installation of the foundation, you can expect assembly of the shed itself to take 2 adults up to 6 hours.

For more information about assembly, read the Owner's Manual Sample and watch our helpful video on How To Build A Lifetime Shed. (Components will vary between different models).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent product I bought this shed this summer for my wife so she can put her gardening stuff in. We found that this size is excellent because we were able to store even the patio set and more. Also there room for tire storage, easy to access and we are very happy with it. It is a very good buy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Customer Took me some time to decide whether to get this or a Keter Factor. Good thing I followed my best judgement because getting this absolutely did not disappointment our decision. Got one of this from Lowes this early winter. During assembly I asked for very minimum help, just to hold both doors upright then finished the rest myself. I had no problem following the instruction since it was clear and straightforward. I did stumble some missing items but lifetime customer service address my issue without delays. Hats off to them, being so professional. Shed survived its 1st Alberta winter therefore I think this structure will last until it drop. Wonderful design too, currently an envy to view in our backyard. Good job LIfetime!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Installation of Lifetime 6001 w/2.5 Extension Kit After reviewing sheds extensively on the internet, I settled on a Lifetime 6001 with a 30" extension kit w/window. The shed has 2- double doors with 3 windows, one with an operable pane. I read several reviews on the installation along with videos from the manufacturer and decided to install the shed by my self. Contrary to some of the reviews, the instructions were spot on and very explanatory. It took me a total of 15 hours to complete. The shed looks great and I am impressed with the engineering and quality of the product. This shed definitely gets my recommendation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifetime 10x8 Shed Decided to start by building an 8x10 wood base with treated lumber, on top of 8 4"x16" concrete blocks. Next time, I'm going to have someone pour me a concrete pad as getting the thing level took hours. Cost would be about the same too. In all, following the instructions and the on- line videos helped me put the shed together rather easily-but timely. Hats off to Lifetime taking the time to produce the videos!! In all, steps 1-10 took all most 24 hours. I was able to do most of the work by myself, only needing a second person to hang the doors and install the ceiling panels. If someone tells you they did all the work without any help, they are probably lying. It also took me another 2 hours to secure the shed to the base, and the base to the ground using 12" augers covered in concrete. Total out of pocket expenses for the base and supports came in around $250. I made two really bad mistakes during installation of the shed, not noticing one of them before it was too late to fix. The first was hanging the walls. Front right, and back right documentation depends on which door one is looking at. I'd rather the doors be clearly marked with numbers that match the instructions. Seems some numbers must have been used in other booklets. The second mistake was laying the four black colored floor base pieces. Some how, I placed third piece backwards. When it came time to hang the right door on the 10' side, there was no hole to place the round pole. Rather than tear it all down, and start over, I decided to cut a new hole in the floor, and move the cap accordingly. As a result, the doors would not fully shut at first. After a lot of adjusting, pulling and pushing, we got them to shut. I have decided to not use those doors anyway, so in the end, it doesn't matter. Like others, the doors were off center and placing a few shims as recommended, seemed to fix the problem. Not sure if it'll stay dry once it rains. Other notes: I used my power drill to set most of the screws. None of them got stripped. In fact, only two screws wouldn't fit on the center ceiling panel due to the panel being warped. I had to drill in two other areas to help "pull" the panels into place. All in all I like the shed, and look forward to getting all my "junk" out of the garage and into it over the next couple of days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An overall amazing shed Pretty much the same as what the other reviewers are saying:- Some ambiguity in the way certain parts are referred to in the manual which could get confusing.- Make sure you have checked first that you have all the parts. I ended up building a bit of the shed and then finding out that 2 boxes were duplicated (even though marked with a different label) and it took about 2 weeks to ship the box I needed to Canada. Apart from the fact that I was getting quite antsy with a half-finished shed, I had a couple of days of strong winds that folded up part of the shed which bent the floor. I was able to sort of save it with ropes and so on. Don't mean to sound negative, as the other reviewers said the customer support is truly OUTSTANDING! I have not seen such support anywhere. Politeness, courteousness, list goes on... in my very first request they said they would not only send it expedited shipping but that would also be free!- The shed itself looks really good and looks very solid. I'll have to see how it behaves in a year or more but for now, AWESOME!P.S.: I have built a wood foundation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10 X 8 Model 60001 Lifetime Shed Is A Great Shed This was the summer of sheds, tearing down 2 old ones, replacing with new plastic sheds, etc. I had two sheds to install, both from different manufactures and this is how it all stacked up.The first shed was an 8 X 10 Lifetime shed model 60001. I got it up in a day, all the offers for help never happened so I did it alone. Took maybe a bit longer, probably12 hours or so. Instructions were okay, a few things were a little abstract and vague but in the end run understandable and able to follow. Done its up and it’s a wonderful shed, looks great, quality is above par. I learned a few tips along way if you’re interested. Silicone caulk the skylights, all of them from the inside, silicone where the wall panels meet the floor to keep surface water from coming in, and seal the floor panel connection joints. Where I live rain is no joke, it rains probably 9 months of the year here and things will leak if a person doesn’t seal and seal more. Next thing I learned don’t be afraid to call Lifetime support, they are amazing! They forgot send a few parts, called them and it was there in a few days. I also needed a little help understanding what a few parts were for as they weren’t listed in the directions. Can’t say enough about the support, knowledgeable, polite, courteous, ‘great’ really sums it up.Now shed 2, ugggh! It wasn’t a Lifetime shed and all I can say is…,ummm, well it’s up. I only ordered this one because it was the right size that I needed for the pad I was installing on and there were only two available sheds that would fit the pad size. So during my two week adventure of being a plastic shed one minute expert I learned that the Lifetime shed was light years ahead with respects to quality, ease of assembly, aesthetics, directions, you name it. I never called support for the second shed. Sadly the second shed is the ugly duckling of the two sheds. Fortunately I won’t be putting in anymore sheds for a very long time, but I will recommend Lifetime sheds for sure. One thing it’s still dry here, waiting to see when it starts the never ending rains if they stay water tight, keep you posted.

What is the reasoning for drilling drain holes in plywood under the shed floor?

Asked by: bojuhat
When you have a plywood platform, water from sprinklers or other sources may get under the floor. Pooling water will ruin the wooden platform, so drainage holes allow for any water to drain out from under the shed, so water won’t seep through the flooring.
