Going green? Recycle your vegetable scraps into a nutritious fertilizer for your vegetable and flower gardens with the Lifetime 65 gal. Composter. While this composter holds less than our 80 gallon composter, the cooking process takes less time because it is designed with a much larger aeration tube. This increases airflow and breaks the compost down into a fine fertilizer. It is constructed with heavy-duty black panels to absorb and retain the heat that decomposes the organic material. The lightweight 65 gallon tumbler turns on its axis for balanced rotation. The non-cylindrical design of the tumbler allows for more effective mixing of contents when rotated. Extra-large removable lid allows easy access for filling and dumping. With your compost ingredients enclosed inside the composter tub, you will not be subjected to an unsightly, smelly, fly attracting, open-air compost heap in your garden. And no more turning it all with a pitchfork. Save your back, save your money, with the convenient Lifetime 65 gal. composter. This product does not contain BPA.

Compost Tumbler (65 gallon) is rated 3.7647 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use & move, assembly took time, spare part We have had this four years, find it easy to use and to move when mowing grass - grab the crossbar and slide it sideways on its "skis". Assembly took longer than I expected, but the directions were all accurate; it took my preteen son and me maybe 2.5-4 hours (it was a long time ago). The pivot bolt for the lid broke on one side this year, and in these reviews we saw that they can send replacement parts. I called and they mailed me four at no charge (there are just 2 on the composter, so I have 3 spares). I waited a full month for them to arrive, but they came in the mail. By the way, I think the pivot bolt breaks when the lid slides off unintentionally when you have it all the way open with the composter tilted back. The lid is designed to lift easily off the pivots, but when you let it slip off in a crooked way, it can bend and eventually break the bolt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Assembly! Really! Took two adults, one with welding and car repair experience to put this together. Eight man hours total. Drilling the holes in the plastic, no problem, but when you put the parts together the holes didn't line up. Looks great now that it is together, we'll see how it goes. Would only recommend for someone who has patience and master assembly experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from RIDICULOUS TO ASSEMBLE...part broke w/in a year As several others have said, this thing is absurdly time consuming and difficult to put together. My partner build our house, every pipe, wire and nail....so he has more than enough know-how and tools, yet it took close to 6 hours....including a lunch break. The ring that connects the lid to a bolt, so it can swing open and closed, broke within a year, and we see no way on this website to replace that part or even the lid. When we get sick enough of it we will likely buy another tumbler, but likely not from this company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product and great customer service ! We have had this compost tumbler for several years and have nothing but praise for ease of use. The size is perfect for use in a backyard garden, and it is so personally rewarding to "recycle" food waste. Our garden plants love it, too ! Our only problem was with the pivot bolts which snapped one day. I called customer service and they had new ones shipped out within two days at no charge. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend the product and also the company. We will definitely check out Lifetime for any other outdoor products we may be considering.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problems This product was very difficult to assemble. It worked great for about a year and than the door latch rusted and will not work. I cannot tumble it or the door falls opened.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Assembly Impossible OMG - opened the box and found a million pieces and an instruction manual that seems to go on forever. I may not even have all the tools to put this together!!! The assembly looks like it may take a lot longer than 2 days - no wonder the box at the store looked like a return - it probably was after they opened the box!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big job to assemble, lots of parts!! Seems to be well made and solid. I like the ease of the tumble feature and the locking lid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but tough to put together Took me much longer than the 2 hours indicated to put this together. However, once up and running, I am pleased with how it works. Very easy to tumble.

We set up our composter about 2 months ago. Worked really well initially. It seems like the pin that locks the bin in place is not long enough and it won't lock anymore.HELP!

My tea does not leak through the bottom. When I turn the bin (which is empty) I can hear the tea swirling. How do I remove it?

I don't see a spigot for draining the compost tea.. is that a possibility?

Asked by: Christy
There isn’t a spigot. The compost tea leaks through the seams on the bottom of the composter. That is why we recommend placing the composter in an area where it will be okay for the compost tea to drain.
