Take advantage of a more efficient method of composting with the Lifetime Dual Composter. The dual tumbler design means you don't have to wait for your first batch of compost to finish cooking before you start on another one. This can eliminate weeks of waiting! Each 50 gallon tumbler is constructed of black double-walled polyethylene plastic to absorb heat and an internal aeration bar to create the necessary airflow needed to break down the compost ingredients. Four small vents are designed into each corner of the tumbler to provide additional airflow. The non-cylindrical design of the tumblers allows for more effective mixing of contents when rotated. The tumblers are set side-by-side on a sturdy steel base and can be easily turned on its axis for compost rotation. Use the red processing indicator clip to attach to the handle of the tumbler so you can keep track of which batch is cooking and which batch you can add fresh ingredients to. With the enclosed tumbler design you can speed up compost processing time and avoid the smelly, unsightly mess of an open compost heap. Save money on expensive fertilizers by creating your own rich, fresh compost for your vegetable and flower gardens. This product does not contain BPA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dual Composter - Easiest Assembley Instructions Ev We purchased the dual composter two days ago and assembled it yesterday. The assembly instructions and the packaging of the parts were simply the best we have encountered. Everything was labelled and pictured clearly making assembly very easy. The quality and workmanship in the construction of the bins is superb. It is very sturdy and will last a long time. I look forward to using the rotating barrel and never having to turn my compost again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Could've been made better We have had our tumbler for 2+ years. We have had issues with the pins breaking, the lock getting stuck - so now we can't open the lid without prying the sides away; and the tumbler corners falling out. With a better locking mechanism, this may have been a better review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've gone green I have 2 of these composters, giving me 4. I like having 2 so you can start one and then work an another when that one is full so you can keep composting. I put i grass clippings, leaves, kitchen scraps and even a little dirt to keep it going. I found that oak leaves don't compost well so brake them up if you use them. I also found that keeping it moist made it work a lot faster. I would add water to it weekly if it got to dry and it would compost a lot faster. Setting it up was a bit of a chore but they are solid and work well. I have used them for a year and half and I got some really good compost. It does take time though. It took me about 6 months. If I had known to keep it moist I could have done it faster. It's been nice not to waste my grass clipping and kitchen scraps and leaves in the garbage. I'm getting good soil and it's rewarding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dual composter I purchased my first Lifetime Dual Composted last spring. It is ideal to have one composting while filling the second side. I have finally found something to keep the raccoons out! I purchased my second dual composted for my daughter at Christmas and she is just as thrilled as I am with the product. This is a must have product .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of junk It took a full day to assemble, and then started rusting the moment I started loading compost materials into it. First both metal lid opening assemblies became very stiff and hard to operate, then the metal hinges on one lid started rusting away, and then broke so that the lid fell off, rendering that bin unusable. The hinges on the second lid are heading the same way. The dual-bin tumbler is a cool concept. Execution, not so much.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Construction Ruins Excellent Design I really LOVED this composter...UNTIL the hinge mechanism holding the lid on to one of the containers rusted through and the lid fell off. Without a lid, the Dual Compost Tumbler does not tumble! We purchased the composter during the summer of 2013, so it was only two years old. The hinge mechanism appears to have rusted through. The composter was not exposed to water often, as Texas is drought-stricken. Nor was the lid stressed excessively, as it rested on a fence when it was opened. Now, the lid on the remaining container is almost impossible to open, I'm guessing due to rust. This is a product that has great features and that should be getting uniform five star reviews, but I cannot give it anything but a one-star because cheap parts were used in the most critical places.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from nightmare to put together you need to partially or completely put this item together before selling it or include a specific installation video. it's a nightmare. we are ready to return it to costco.if you value your time this is not worth what you think you're saving buying it atcostco. I'm sure if we ever get it together we will love the product but I would not recommend it to my friends, due to the time spent putting it together.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seems good but I have lots of parts left over I'm just inside trying to figure out why I have so many parts left over. I think my instructions are missing some pages as the pdf instructions on the website have directions that I don't have in my package.
