Don’t let the decorative design fool you—The Lifetime 6446 shed is tough! Keep all your tools and garden equipment conveniently stored where you use them—in the yard. No more rummaging through the house or garage. The Lifetime 6446 shed also features several shelving units and peg strips to help you keep those tools organized and right at your fingertips. Constructed of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic and reinforced with powder-coated steel, this attractive outdoor shed is built to weather the storms year after year. Low maintenance and weather resistant. Best of all, no painting required! Made in the USA from US and imported parts. Not compatible with the Lifetime Extreme Weather Kit.

Consult local building codes before assembly. This shed must be built on a flat level foundation of wood or concrete (not included). It is designed with a slight indentation in each corner of the floor so that you can drill through the flooring to secure it to the foundation. Anchoring hardware depends on the type of foundation you have and is therefore not included in the shed kit. Not including the installation of the foundation, you can expect assembly of the shed itself to take 2 adults up to 6 hours.

For more information about assembly, read the Owner's Manual Sample and watch our helpful video on How To Build A Lifetime Shed. (Components will vary between different models).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ROOM!!! ROOM!!! I've had this shed two years now, had it at a rental house first and now at my own home, I love the durability of it! We had a serious wind storm come thru recently, it tore up our gazebo ,put holes into our siding and our window screens due to the inch size hail...this shed stood tall thru it all without any damage whatsoever.... I have a riding lawn mower , push mower, snowblower, a set of tires , wheelbarrow, and a quite a few other things in this shed!!! It has ROOM still! I love it!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Like the Product I purchased this over the Memorial Day weekend and finally had a chance to put it together. I was a little worried when I saw the manpower and hours required to assemble. I solo assembled after constructing a base 18inches off the ground. It took be about 4 hours a day over 3 days, 5 counting the base. I used clamps, bungee cords, jacks, and straps to make it work. Instructions were decent, videos helpful materials nice. I am a little worried about the ability of the screws to hold in the plastic parts - but that is yet to prove a problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from durable shed I have had this shed for over 4 years now and it has proven to be very durable in Utah weather. From the high winds to the freezing snow, and blistering summers the shed has never warped or leaked a drop. Greaat product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed shed I've had this shed for over a year and I am extremely satisfied. It looks as good as the day I put it up, having held up to snow, high winds, tree limbs, and four children. Assembly was not a one person job, but it was fairly simple. I strongly recommend this shed. .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Shed Option I just put this together. Tip for you - Take your time and read carefully! I haven't moved all my lawn and garden equipment in yet but it looks like this is going to be a perfect shed for me. The assembly was not too bad and I only had help during a few steps. It was actually a fun project. I had a treated framed base with treated plywood built to put it on. The quality of the shed seems adequate and it is certainly the best looking one on the market. I wish Lifetime would use a different fastener for the roof and wall panels other than a screw. Some sort of twist and lock type. Some of the screws tend to strip which is frustrating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value I purchased this building recently in addition to the 8X10 Lifetime Shed I have had for about 5 years now and am very satisfied with. It requires 2 people to assemble but I was able to do it by myself (not recommended unless no help available) using props and braces so it took considerably longer to complete. This shed doesn't come with the brown corner trim like the 8X10 so I ordered the trim for the 8X10 for a little extra $ and it fit perfectly. Now the two buildings match and look great together. I rated at 4 stars only because the instructions weren't very clear (especially some of the drawings) in some places resulting in wasted time. Also some of the roof panels were very difficult to fit in place. Overall the building is very attractive and the construction is sturdy and should last for many years with low maintenance. If it gets dirty just wash it off with a garden hose and it looks new again. I highly recommend this storage building.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great I bought this shed over 10 months ago. I installed it on a concrete pad as that was the most suggested. I took great pains to ensure that the pad was level and square. I left about 2 inches of concrete on all sides to ensure I could center the building. I took my time assembling the trusses etc. I followed the processes outlined in the instructions. I did not have any problems with the instructions (but I referred to them often for clarification). I did have my wife help hold up some of the wall panels. Otherwise, I Could assemble most of it myself. Once I started on the building I took a couple of days to complete, maybe 6 plus hours each day. I braced it over night so it would not fall down if a wind came up. Make sure you lay out the material and hardware so you don't use the wrong screws etc. It may take a little ingenuity to make everything fit but it was not that hard. The last bottom corner piece of roof was actually the hardest to fit, but pushing on the building enabled me to align the holes for the screws. Don't over torque the screws at first. Otherwise, sometimes they will want to strip out. Once completed the building is very sturdy.

The shutters instructions are very vague.  The screws don't seem long enough to go through the walls from the inside. How do you install these?

Do you have reenforcement roof support to sell?

Asked by: jessie
We do not have a specific kit for this model but we do have a snow load kit for our 10'x8' sheds (60125) that if you purchase two kits you would have enough for the size you are asking about.

Regarding the Lifetime 6446 Garden Storage Shed (15 X 8 Ft): 1) Is this shed all one big room on the inside, or is it divided with a wall(s)? 2) If I'm installing this against our house are there gutters to prevent water run off to the back? Thanks!

Asked by: Seprep
The inside of our sheds are designed as one big room. Also we do not have gutters on the roof so water would run to the back of the shed if it were to fall on that side.

I purchased this shed a few years ago. At that time they was an expansion kit available. Is it still available? If it is please let me know the ordering information.

Asked by: kevork
Yes you can get the 8x2.5 ft. expansion kit, model 6446. But if a shed is longer than 15 ft. it will void the warranty.
