Yard Cart is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good idea, with a few issues I purchased this because it can be converted while full. I use it everyday to pick horse stalls then drive it to the manure pile. The first time I drove it up the hill, it dumped out . The dump lever is poorly designed. I fixed it by purchasing a much tighter spring and now it doesn't release on its own. Second issue is the bolts used when converting it. They get stuck because of the threads. I replaced them with smooth pins. It's easier now to get them in and out, but you still have to have everything aligned just right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tractor cart, wheel barrow? Been debating over new tractor cart to replace old light duty metal one. Light duty being anything that weighs less than a load of mulch.  Looked at John deere, Brinley, and other similar makes. Build of Lifetime cart/barrow is on par with all of the heavier duty models 10cu ft and above. Convertibility is a plus.  Average price of a cart and wheel barrow is 300 combined. So you spend about the same money and safe space in the garage too. What's not to like?  But honestly have not put cart to test yet, have to wait till spring.  While assembling though, parts were noticeably stout and appropriately matched.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why didn't I think of it.... Pros:"Versatile","Large Capacity","Sturdy","Easy to clean" Best Uses:"Yard Work","Hauling Stuff w ATV" Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. The picture on the site does not do it justice. It converts from a wheelbarrow to a trailer quickly and easily and even has a dump latch so you don't have to disconnect it from your ATV or lawn mower when you need to dump it. It has an incredible capacity and even has built in cup and tool holders. Very cool. Be warned, though. It is just over three feet wide so make sure you have room to store it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Over two years of good use This cart has served me well for over two years. Assembly was not too bad and took a little over an hour. I think the instructions say that there is a 250 lb weight limit and I restrict the loads so that it is not overloaded. The only problem is the dump release. It will release with a load while traveling. I fixed this by adding a bungee cord for added release protection. I have used it as a hand cart and it works well without too much trouble to convert but I mostly use it as a pull behind for my lawn tractor. Haul firewood, mulch, yard debris, tools, plants.Good product and I have been pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than most Pros:"Good price","Convertable","Heavy duty","Well Made" Cons:"Small print instructions","Not easy to assemble","No maintenance info" Best Uses:"Yard Work" Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Great idea in having a combination wheelbarrow and tractor dump cart. It is well made, but everything did not align as well as it should on assembly. Nothing you can't work around, but it could be better. The latch especially was off a little without any way to adjust it. I especially like the slots for adding side rails if you want. This was a nice addition. I like the fact that it includes grease zerts, but there is no mention in the manual for maintenance. I do not know if it was lubed at the factory or not. You also have to get the tire pressure from the tires. That information should be included. Once it is together, it works great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Practical but some issues It's super handy. Ours is well used. Good working height, handy implement holes by handles, rolls fairly easy, good price. However both front corners split after dumping a few loads of gravel, even though we still had way less than the 600lb rating in it, probably more like 200lb as it's hard to push with more than that in it. The dumping lever also needed some adjustment. Converting from hand to tow mode isn't simple and quick

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best piece of yard equipment I have This is an excellent product. I love the dumping feature and that it changes from a trailer to a wheel barrow. It's held up very well, I put it to heavy use often. I recently had a flat tire, I think the valve stem detached from inside the tire. I e-mailed Lifetime with my receipt and they're sending me a new tire. I highly recommend this yard cart. I was able to buy it a Costco in Ontario, Canada on sale.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Firstt time use and it broke using it to move wood .. had cart loaded and went over uneven ground and back lip where it is curved ( dump end) must have flexed ? broke off entire curved area from left side to right side down about 1.5 inches. beside myself on this issue , Continued to use cart with no further issue ...... great cart , I think ?? I will have to "MacGyver" something for repair ... possibly poor design ?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just about perfect I bought this Lifetime Lawn Cart because I have a lawn tractor and a quad that I can hook it up to. It can haul a lot of product, wood, top soil, and mulch have all three been transported. The balance of the unit is quite amazing, if you have the proper tire pressure it will glide over any Terran. Easy to clean, very simple to switch from a cart you use like a wheel barrow to a trailer that you hitch to your lawn tractor. One issue which should explains the title, when you load the cart with a good size load you risk the latch releasing and dumping the content. To keep this from happening, I purchased a Velcro strap at one of the big box stores that I rap around the bar to keep it from accidentally releasing. I don't look at it as a negative because I would have taken that a precaution anyway. My neighbors have trailers and they have a wheel barrow, I have one that does both and they wish they were me. You will love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Product Overall I am happy with the purchase. It handles a full load of firewood easily. The product seems durable enough to stand up to reasonable abuse. Nice tires with greasable wheel bearings. I had to drill new holes in the bed to get it assembled but after that, assembly was easy. I have used it as a wheel barrow and it was well balanced and easy to move.

I have assembled the cart to be towed behind my ATV, however, the red dumping lever does not lock and keep the box down. Why not?

Asked by: Timmer
It could be due to one of 2 things. The first would be due to the parts being out of alignment. If they are out of alignment, we suggest loosening the hardware in the area and move the items around to see if you can get the parts closer together and then retighten. Second, it could be a faulty lever. If the item is bad then we would just replace the lever. Please try loosening the hardward and realigning. If this doesn't resolve the problem, please call Customer Service at 1-800-225-3865.

What is the ball hitch size - presumably 1 and 7/8 inch?

Asked by: GioM
This cart does not use a ball hitch in order to connect. There is a pin that is used to attach the cart to whatever you are attaching it to

Seeing that you answered that this marvelous cart is now obsolete, I want to ask if Lifetime intends to come up with a redesigned cart in the near future. If you do, please keep the ingenious folding handles.

Asked by: CubbyCadet
We appreciate your thoughts/opinions about this product. I will make sure I pass long your comments. As of right now I do not have any information on whether or not this cart will used again in the future.
